The third Swale Film Festival is to be a four day event held within Swale, Kent. Events will take place on Sheppey, in Sittingbourne and Faversham. We are also giving young people throughout Kent the opportunity to make their own 5 – 10 minute film or video production to enter into the SWALE FILM AWARDS 2010.
The theme of your production can be any subject drama or documentary animation or live action. Closing date for entries is 10th Sept 2010. Professional artists writers and film makers will judge the productions entered on 14th Sept. The award ceremony will be held at the Avenue Theatre, Sittingbourne on Saturday 25th September at 6.00pm.
RULES
Entrants can enter one or other of the two categories 11-16 or 17-23 years. Individuals, schools, colleges or university may enter. The judges will be looking at script, camera and sound skills, design, make up, editing and the ability of the performing artists. The production may be shot on 16mm film, video, Beta SP, VHS or DVD.THE WINNERS There will be first and second prize in each category with trophies for each winning production and certificate given to each member of the crew plus a visit and a tour of Pinewood Studios.
Those interested in entering the competition should first send e-mail informing the organizers of your intention of entering with your contact details. All entries must be submitted on DVD (PAL Only) with entry form to the Swale Film Festival committee PO BOX 516, Sittingbourne, Kent ME10 9AZ. Entries will not be returned. A photograph from each production will be required for publicity and our website. All entries must be free of any copyright issues action sound or music as the winners will be promoted and broadcasted.
